STUDENTS
HABITS TO HANG ON TO
We want students to grow closer to Jesus and to grow more like Jesus. By equipping students with the tools to grow spiritually on their own, we trust that when they graduate from high school they won’t graduate from their faith.
LUGS (Living Unit Groups) are an important part of encouraging our students to grow. LUGS are Bible study groups of 6-10 students of the same grade and gender that meet weekly throughout the school year. LUGS are led by one or two adults who pray for, mentor, encourage and teach the students.
Through LUGS, students can grow within a caring, biblical community of other students and be equipped with H.A.B.I.T.S. to grow in their relationship with Christ:
H – Hang time alone with God
A – Accountability with another Christian
B – Bible study and memorization
I – Involvement in ministry
T – Tithing
S – Sharing the gospel
Another way that students can grow is through the large group teaching times at middle school JAM and high school LIV. Along with student-led worship and fun games, students are taught from the Bible in a style uniquely designed for them.
