Sunnybrook Community Church is committed to having an impact both locally and globally. We are involved in several mission endeavors and are always seeking more ways to reach into the community and beyond.
Haiti
Reaching the community of Guimby, Haiti
Sunnybrook supports the Guimby Christian school and its students and provides food and supplies to the community and its hospital. Once a year, a team from Sunnybrook goes to Guimby on a work mission trip.
Haiti Rice Sale
Medicine throughout Haiti is in short supply and even providing minimal healthcare to the most needy is a challenge. With 50% of Haitian families trying to feed their families on $1/day it is clear how the proceeds from the annual Haiti Rice Sale with benefit the most critical needs in the Pignon area. The Rice Sale is held in the fall of every year, and your contribution will go to purchase food, medicine, hospital supplies, food and fuel.
Horizon Ministry
Reaching the Latino community in South Sioux City, Nebraska
Horizon Ministry seeks to reach Latino families, specifically by offering furniture, clothing and other desperately needed items. Horizon has also offered Bible clubs for children and is exploring opportunities for church development in South Sioux City.
Mercy Ministry
Reaching those in financial crisis in Siouxland
The mercy ministry exists to help individuals experiencing a short-term, sudden financial crisis by providing one-time gifts and/or connecting them to coomunity resources to help them make positive changes in their lives. Individuals must be a member of Sunnybrook Community Church or referred by a member to be eligible for assistance through the mercy ministries.
Summer Serve
Reaching Siouxland through serving its non-profit agencies
Summer Serve is an annual event in which Sunnybrook's small groups set aside a Saturday to serve local non-profit groups.
Siouxland Tanzania Education and Medical Ministry (STEMM)
Reaching Tanzania
STEMM is a ministry partnership between the Siouxland community and the African country of Tanzania. STEMM provides educational and medical supplies and services.
Siouxland Soup Kitchen
Reaching out to serve others through the Siouxland Community Soup Kitchen
Volunteer to help prepare and serve a meal to the families of the Siouxland Community Soup Kitchen. A great service opportunity for small groups or families to do together.
Monday and Thursday evenings throughout the year
Prep teams work 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Serving/clean-up teams work 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Everett School Project
Sunnybrook is committed to reaching out to Everett Elementary School students. Volunteers are needed year-round to mentor students, and to give coats and other needed items to students.
