STUDENTS
BEING JESUS’ HANDS AND FEET
Our middle school and high school students want to be the hands and feet to Jesus in our community and beyond. To do that, each LUG small group commits to serving a non-profit agency in Siouxland at least once each semester. As students serve together, they get to have fun and reap the reward of impacting others.
Each summer, our 6th and 7th grade middle school students are a part of In Siouxland for Good, a partnership between several local churches to bring their middle school students together for a week and serve the community. More than 100 students and 30 adults give a week to serve 35+ non-profit agencies and live, worship, eat and have fun together.
This summer 8th graders have the opportunity to expand the reach of their service, by participating in a week-long mission trip to St. Paul, MN. They will work with children, the elderly and community agencies to demonstrate God's love through their actions.
Our high school students hit the road each summer and reach places that open their eyes, as well as their hearts. In recent years, we’ve gone to places such as Juarez, Mexico and inner-city Chicago. While stepping out of their comfort zones, our teenagers are challenged to show God’s love and reach out to people different from themselves.
