Celebrate Recovery is a community of brave souls entering a safe and non-judgmental zone, where we get real about our pain and the negative ways we view ourselves, God, and others. Blending biblical wisdom with practical advice to help us heal and thrive, we’ll learn new truths, develop healthy habits, and see broken relationships healed through the power of Jesus Christ.

A children's resource that complements our Celebrate Recovery program. It is for children 5-13 years and takes place on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Sexual Assault

Grief
GriefShare
GriefShare is a 13-week support group created by Church Initiatives for people grieving the death of a loved one, whether the death is recent or not. It’s a place where you can be with others who can relate to how you feel as you experience the pain of your loss. At GriefShare, you’ll learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life.
Locations: Sunnybrook Church, Sioux City and Summitt Real Life Center, Storm Lake, IA.

Loss of a Spouse
Loss of a Spouse is GriefShare’s 2-hour, one-time seminar for people grieving the death of their spouse. Held three times per year (January, May, and September), Loss of a Spouse offers helpful insights on: What to expect in the days to come, how to deal with the loneliness, what to do with your spouse’s belongings, why it won’t always hurt this much, and other practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood.

Surviving the Holidays
Surviving the Holidays is GriefShare’s 2-hour, one-time seminar that offers a safe place for people to learn how to deal with all the demands and emotions the holidays can bring following the death of a loved one. This two-hour event is held yearly in November.

GriefSupport for Teens is designed to supports teens who have experienced the death of a loved one, utilizing the adult GriefShare material in an age-appropriate manner.

Bereaved Mothers Group
Bereaved Mothers is a supportive community for mothers who have experienced the death of a child of any age, meeting monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.

Widows Walking Together is for women of any age who have experienced the death of a spouse, no matter how long it has been. Walking together, navigating the challenges unique to widows, the group meets on the first and third Monday of each month.

DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a 13-week support group that covers relevant topics for anyone separated or divorced. Through a video lesson and group discussion, participants will learn about topics such as grief, forgiveness, and anger.

Parent Connect
Parent Connect is a supportive group for parents who are navigating life with a child who identifies as gay or lesbian. The purpose of this group is to:
- help parents love their child well
- help parents cultivate their child's relationship with Jesus
- help parents discover what God may want to do in their own hearts
This will be an online group that will meet on the first and third Mondays at 7pm starting Jan. 15, meeting for 21 sessions.
