Peace Over Pan(dem)ic Day 6

main image

Scripture: Psalm 139:13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Devotional: What you know will get you through.

Knowing and fully grasping that God knit you together in your mother’s womb, and ordained every single one of your days before one of them came to be, is a game changer.  Whether your last day on this earth is today, or 30 years from today, God already knows.

And when you know the One who knows, you can entrust everything to Him.  Nothing comes as a surprise to God; only to you and me.  Friend, let the peace of God, which passes all understanding, guard your heart and mind with this knowledge.  You don’t need to be anxious, or fearful, EVER.  And when you are, because we all are at some point, remember that He invites you to come to Him in prayer.

Let His words remind you of His all-knowing character, and find peace in the midst of every day He has ordained for you.

Reflect:

  • How does knowing that God has ordained every single one of your days impact the way you view your life? And the lives of those you love?
