Devotional: Do you ever wonder what would have happened if Mary had not said to God’s messenger when told she would bear the Son of God, “may it be as you have said.”? Mary believed God. She willingly yielded to His will. And the Son she bore became her Lord and Savior.
Surely God knew there would be endless numbers of people who would not believe in His Son, and therefore in Him. Jesus would be rejected, betrayed, despised. He would be beaten and spat upon, jeered, and hated. How God’s heart must have broken, knowing this would be the case.
Yet.
He loved the world, He loved His own, so much that He gave…
