Scripture: Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
Devotional: Would you say that your marriage is bearing fruit? Have you ever thought of it in those terms?
There are so many ways that seeking God and trusting in Him brings great blessing to your life, and to those with whom your life intersects. Isaiah 61 speaks of being “a planting of the Lord for the display of His glory.” A fruitful marriage comes from trusting in the Lord and placing your confidence in Him, which results in a lifegiving, flourishing relationship that can withstand the harshest of times and puts God’s glory on display.
