Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Devotional: Today’s passage gives us a road map for healing that not only applies to a nation but can also apply to your marriage. If your marriage is a struggle and in need of healing, take these words to heart:
- Remember you are called by God’s name.
- Humble yourself.
- Seek His face.
- Pray.
- Turn from your sin (repent).
- Receive God’s forgiveness and healing.
This is not just a one-time thing; it’s a consistent effort to turn away from any unrighteous practices in your life and surrender wholly to Him. A practice with a promise, if you will. When you practice, God promises.
