Your ways, God, are holy.
What god is as great as our God?
You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples.
With your mighty arm you redeemed your people…
Devotional: Redemption. It is the mark of the church of Jesus Christ. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him would go from death to life (John 3:16).
Jesus came to seek and save the lost – to redeem those destined for death: “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:23-24). This is the foundation of the church of Jesus Christ.
Jesus proclaimed that upon Peter’s testimony that Jesus was indeed the Christ, the Son of the Living God, that He would build His church (Matthew 16:16-18). His church is still being built today as we give testimony to this truth. And as Jesus said: “… the gates of Hell will not prevail against it.”
We serve a God of miracles and are called to share the life-changing message of redemption through Christ. And as we do, the church will continue.
